1.A major motivating factor for middle agers to exercise is to decrease their risk of disease.
There is a connection between fat and breast cancer. Exercise can help one to keep their weight at a healthy level. Women that are overweight may have elevated levels of hormones such as insulin, estrogen, and leptin. The hormones may increase inflammation in the body that can promote cancer growth.
2. My middle age clients are motivated to strength training in order to stay in shape.
Exercise will also help keep bones dense and reduce sarcopenia (increase in fat and a decrease in muscle). If they increase their muscle mass it will help them keep their weight under control.
Staying in shape during middle age means participating in a good exercise routine to help one maintain good balance and good posture which is a big problem in todays world of sitting in front of a computer all day and texting. Fitting fitness into your busy day keeps every system working optimally-from cardiovascular to emotional well-being. Exercise helps to decrease stress and reduce anxiety and depression.
Here are some tips for fitting in fitness into a busy day:
Schedule fitness into your day. Don’t let a busy schedule get in the way of your exercise program. There is always an excuse not to exercise.
Exercise first thing in the morning when you have more energy. It will also reduce stress, which will help you to control your food intake.
You can break up exercise into several 10-minute exercise sessions.
Walk at lunchtime.
Save time by using HIIT.
Think about which exercises you like to do and you will be more likely to do them.
Book a beach vacation, which will motivate you to exercise in order to look good at the beach.
Find an exercise buddy for companionship.
